This stunning antique Victorian large golden butterfly brooch is Circa 1900.

The fabulous abstract butterfly displays beautiful, detailed workmanship with decorative wings and head that almost look like golden flower petals.

The body and tail are also curled in a playful way giving the brooch lots of character.

Butterfly or insect jewellery is highly collectable and was a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian Era.

The brooch is set in Sterling Silver which has been gilded in 18ct Yellow Gold.
